He is a Professor Doctor MS-3.2, in a Full-Time Dedication Regime to Teaching and Research (RDIDP), at the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo (IRI/USP), in the field of International Relations, subarea of Regional International Organizations, since December 2019. He holds a Ph.D. in International and Comparative Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo - Largo São Francisco (FD/USP) (2013). He has a bachelor's degree in Law from FD/USP (2007), a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters, and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH/USP) (2012), a specialization in Labor Law from FD/USP (2009), and a specialization in Economic Law from the School of Law of São Paulo at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV DIREITO SP) (2010). During his Ph.D., he was a Sandwich Doctoral Fellow funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) from June 2011 to May 2012, and a fellow of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) for Young Leaders in Law and International Relations during 2013. He was a Full-Time Professor of Public International Law at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (FD/UPM) (2014-2019) and a Temporary Professor in the Law Department at IRI/USP (February to December 2019). He has been a Visiting Professor in the following stricto sensu Graduate Programs: (i) Graduate Program in Law at FD/USP (São Paulo, Brazil) in 2018, (ii) Global Law Program and Research Methodology at Pós-GVlaw of FGV DIREITO SP (São Paulo, Brazil) in 2016, and (iii) Visiting Professor in the Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program at Koç University Law School (Istanbul, Turkey) in December 2015. In foreign institutions, he was: (i) Visiting Professor at the Juristische Fakultät der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Berlin, Germany), from August 2023 to January 2024, with a CAPES scholarship, as part of the University of São Paulo's Internationalization Program (PrInt/USP), in the Junior Visiting Professor modality; (ii) Visiting Researcher (post-doctoral internship) at the Max-Planck-Institut for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Heidelberg, Germany) in July 2017, with partial funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) - Regular Research Grant; (iii) contracted researcher at Università Telematica - La Sapienza (UNITELMA) (Rome, Italy), from August 2013 to July 2014; and (iv) Visiting Researcher at the Institut d'Histoire du Droit (IHD) and the Institut de Droit Comparé (IDC), both at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris, France), from June 2011 to July 2012, with a CAPES scholarship for Sandwich Doctorate. He has worked as a researcher at: (i) FGV DIREITO SP (São Paulo, Brazil), (ii) the Violence Study Center at the University of São Paulo (NEV/USP) (São Paulo, Brazil), and (iii) the National Human Rights Research and Postgraduate Association (ANDHEP) (São Paulo, Brazil). He has experience in the areas of Law, Political Philosophy, and International Relations, with an emphasis on International Law, mainly focusing on: (i) critical theory of law, (ii) critical theories of international law, (iii) international law and politics, (iv) international law and history, (v) global and regional public goods, (vi) regional international organizations, (vii) revitalizing the promise of politics.
