The Technical Administrative Council (CTA), a collegiate body with administrative decision-making functions, is composed of:
- Dean and Associate Dean;
- Presidents of the following committees: Undergraduate (CG), Graduate (CPG), Research and Innovation (CPqI), Culture and University Extension (CCEx), Inclusion and Belonging (CIP), and National and International Cooperation;
- Student (undergraduate and graduate) and technical and administrative staff representatives.

Under the IRI Bylaw, and in addition to the provisions set forth in the Statute and the General Regulations of USP, the CTA is responsible for:

I – deliberating on agreements and contracts entered into by the Institute in which USP is the contracted party, after consultation with the relevant committees; II – annually evaluating the academic monitoring program for re-planning purposes; III – approving the rules governing the recruitment and operational procedures of the academic monitoring program; IV – approving the Institute's annual budget; and V – deliberating annually on the previous year's financial report.

The regular meetings of the Collegiate Body are scheduled to take place during the 2025 academic term, except in exceptional cases, always on the penultimate Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Governing Council Room (2nd floor of the IRI Building).
