She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (2003) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the same university in 2010, with additional studies at the University of Cambridge (UK). She is a professor at the Institute of International Relations IRI-USP (2011) and a tenured professor in the field of International Economics at the same university (2024). Her research interests include topics related to Regional Economics, International Trade, and Spatial Economics. Recently, she has also been conducting research on Women and Gender Inequality.
