Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations at the University of São Paulo (IRI-USP) and PhD in Economic History from USP. He is the vice-coordinator of the Support Center for Culture and Extension on the National Truth Commission-Brazil (NACE CNV-Brazil) at USP and a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology for Studies in the United States (INCT-INEU). He served as President of the Undergraduate Committee at IRI-USP (2018-2021), Coordinator of the Evaluation and Standards Chamber (CAN) of the Pro-Rectory of Graduation at USP (2021), Coordinator of the Democracy Observatory in the World, ODEC-USP (2021-2022), member of the board of the Brazilian Association of International Relations, ABRI (2021-2023), and vice-coordinator of the Thematic Area of Foreign Policy Analysis at ABRI (2021-2023). He was a visiting researcher at the Institute for the Study of the Americas at the University of London (2010-2011), at the Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University (2017), and at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University (2018). His research experience covers the fields of International Relations History, focusing on Brazil-United States relations during the Cold War, with emphasis on the João Goulart government and the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship; and the history of Brazilian foreign policy, with focus on the Independent Foreign Policy (PEI), foreign policy of the military regime, and foreign policy of the Bolsonaro government.
