She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (1993), a Master's degree in Economics from the State University of Campinas (1998), a Ph.D. in Economic Theory from the University of São Paulo (2003), and a habilitation degree (Associate Professor Title) from the same institution (2010). She is a Full Professor of Economics at the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo, conducting research in applied economic theory (microeconometrics), with a focus on health economics, digital economy, and the economics of crime. She is also an advisor in the graduate programs in International Relations and Information Systems at the University of São Paulo.
