The Graduate Studies Committee (CPG) of the Institute of International Relations (IRI) at the University of São Paulo (USP) hereby announces the publication of calls CPG/IRI/USP/05/2024 and CPG/IRI/USP/06/2024, both dated August 23, 2024.
Applications will be accepted from August 26, 2024, to June 20, 2025, from regularly enrolled students and faculty members with active accreditation in the Graduate Program in International Relations at USP.
This call provides funding through PROAP – AUXPE to support national and international travel for the in-person presentation of research papers at academic events in the field (such as conferences, meetings, and seminars).
The total amount currently available for this purpose is R$ 87,000.00. This amount may be adjusted over the course of the period at the discretion of the CPG, depending on the availability of remaining funds allocated to other categories.
Applications will be accepted from August 26, 2024, to June 20, 2025, from regularly enrolled students and faculty members with active accreditation in the Graduate Program in International Relations at USP.
This call provides funding through PROAP – AUXPE for the translation or revision of journal articles or book chapters intended for publication in international outlets. In the case of journal articles, they must meet the criteria established by Qualis Periódicos and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) for A-ranked journals.
The total amount currently available for this purpose is R$ 6,000.00.
Admission to the IRI Graduate Program takes place once a year through a selection process.
The call for applications that regulates the admissions process is usually published by mid-year, with applications opening at the beginning of the second semester.

According to the Graduate Program Bylaws of the University of São Paulo - Resolution nº 7493, of March 27, 2018:
Article 54: Non-degree students are those enrolled only in individual courses, without being affiliated with any USP Graduate Program.
§ 1 – Non-degree students are entitled to a certificate of course completion, issued by the Graduate Studies Committee (CPG).
§ 2 – The acceptance of a non-degree student must be approved by the Program Coordination Committee (CCP), in consultation with the faculty member responsible for the course.
Article 55 - At the discretion of the CCP, USP undergraduate students may also be admitted to graduate courses as non-degree students.
